How it works
Outlining and executing your web solution is an important process which could include a number of steps. Here is a look at what may be involved:
Preparation
- Scope - The sum of components such as static pages, input forms, catalogs, payment processing (e-commerce), and flash animation. Your Key Web Presence Internet Consultant will draw from your Business Analysis to help you decide which components your web site will have.
- Site Plan - A diagram mapping each page in a navigational hierarchy will help you visualize your site before it is built.
Creative Services
- Concept - New and redesigned sites will need a new concept. A professional web designer creates a concept which drives the over-all look and feel of the pages and navigation. You are asked to provide examples and explanation of your preferences. Then the design is submitted to you for signoff to make sure it is what you want.
- Copy Writing - All text must be carefully written and reviewed. Some of our clients do this themselves, but many look to us for help here.
- Logo/Graphic Design - A professional graphic artist can design a new logo, or use an exiting one to create a graphic suitable for the web. This will be a key element of your branding image.
- Flash Animation - Flash is a technology employing vector graphics to efficiently deliver crisp images over the web. Animation captures peoples attention. This combination can make a powerful impression on visitors to your web site.
Production
- Build Phase - Components are assembled; the site takes shape.
- Test - Unfinished site is available for client review and functional testing.
- Launch - Client's URL (web address) is linked to new site or new content is moved onto live server.
- Manage Results - Ongoing process to ensure the site is the best it can be.
